There is much controversy about the celebration of Christmas ... Since the beginning of December atheists here in the United States are in a very strong campaign to discredit Christmas, and prevent society from celebrating the birth of baby Jesus.
I see this issue differently, and this is just my opnion after thinking and praying and studying, I can not see the origin of Christmas in the Old Testament (Sorry Jesus was not born, and Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus), and nor infirm association with pagan festival. I agree that Jesus was not born on December 25th (he probably was born between September or October), but I see the date as something important, but rather the celebration.
When I saw these atheists Americans struggling with a thousand and one arguments to prevent and deny the celebration of Christmas, I thought about how the devil is angry to see humanity celebrating the birth of the Son of God. This Spirit of Gift, reflection, celebration of the Son of God for all humanity is something wonderful.
Sin would celebrate the anniversary of the Incarnation of the Son of God to humanity? Sin would celebrate the birth of baby Jesus? What nonsense some Christians associate the celebration of the birth of the Son of God with pagan festivals!
I believe that Christmas was established by God, and is in the Bible in Luke 2, and was concluded by Primeria time by shepherds and angels, when for the first time in the history of planet earth a concert of an angelic set is presented here. And for what? To celebrate the birth of Jesus. To establish the first Christmas showing how it should be celebrated.
Christmas was established in Campinas Bethlehem and al was first celebrated. Mary and Joseph celebrated as a family around the manger, the wise men of the East celebrated and gave gifts; pastors celebrated the first Christmas, the angels of heaven celebrated the first Christmas, the star celebrated the first birth (nature), with the sky angels celebrated the birth of Jesus, and I ask, why can not we celebrate the birth of Jesus? Why pagan festival? Maybe this issue is at the head of those who prefer the story of the pagan festivals of the Bible.
The exact date does not matter to me, but the reason we celebrate Christmas is powerful, the angel said it was GOOD NEWS FOR EVERYONE ... And PRAISE GOD that Christians and non-Christians celebrate Christmas, the birth of the Son of God to mankind!
Of one thing I am certain: Satan wants to silence this celebration, and we have to keep it alive and in our Churches and Families. The pine tree or Christmas tree is the symbol of that first Christmas was celebrated in the middle of nature, that the son of God was born in the countryside and not in the city ... The Spirit of Prophecy recommends placing trees in church for us to put our offer on the Tree to donate to those less fortunate. LIVING CHRISTMAS! VIVA THE BIRTH OF JESUS! Today we celebrate the greatest gift of God to mankind! Stay in peace! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
